Raya Donation for Rising Star Juniors Underprivileged Homes

Two underprivileged homes received a delightful Raya donation of RM 10,088 from Malaysia’s premier golf and country club TPC Kuala Lumpur today. The homes that are part of the club’s Rising Star Juniors golf programme; are Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Miskin Klang (PEYAKIN) and Shelter Home for Children.

The donation was derived from this year’s TPC Kuala Lumpur Ramadan buffet promotion themed, Selera Muhibbah. This corporate social responsibility initiative was spearheaded by the club’s Food and Beverage Manager, Ramiriz Osman and his team.

“In the spirit of Ramadan, we wanted to share our fruit of labour through the successful Ramadan Buffet promotion by donating RM 1 from each Selera Muhibbah voucher sold. It is one of the biggest event at the clubhouse done annually and we see the potential in raising some funds that can be contributed to charity,” said Ramiriz.

The caretaker for both homes were invited for a cheque presentation ceremony at the club’s poolside and followed by brunch at the Golfer’s Terrace. The representatives were the principal of PEYAKIN Tuan Haji Wan Abd Hisham Bin Hj Wan Ahmad Tajuddin, and Cheok Hoong Poh, Chief Operating Officer of Shelter Home for Children.

“Giving back to the community is one important aspect that we as a team believe in maintaining a sustainable and healthy community. Every effort be it small or big makes a difference and we want to bring some positivity by helping those in need. We would also like to thank the club members and guests who supported this cause by purchasing the dining vouchers. We hope this donation will bring some joy and relief to both homes during this wonderful season,” said Steven Thielke, Chief Executive Officer of TPC Kuala Lumpur.
