foodpanda, the leading online delivery service, has initiated E-ftar this Holy Month to ensure Malaysians can still order in their favourite Ramadan delicacies while staying home and staying safe.
With the extension of the Movement Control Order and social distancing is highly encouraged, foodpanda in partnership with Media Prima Television Networks (MPTN) and various local government councils including Penang Halal International, Perak State Government, Kedah State Government, Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council, Historical Melaka City Council and Ipoh City Council launched a Ramadan Bazaar, E-ftar.
“This Ramadan, we aim to not only support but to enable local businesses to continue serving customers via our platform. We at foodpanda are honoured to introduce E-ftar. This initiative will not only support local businesses but also enable our riders to continue to earn a steady income. This is a challenging time for the nation, but by working together, I believe we can come out of this stronger than before,” said Sayantan Das, Managing Director, foodpanda. \
Das added, “We are honoured to be working with Media Prima Television Networks for this initiative. E-ftar would not have been possible without the support and cooperation from the various local councils.”
The bazaar consists of various food vendors that are only available during the Holy Month.
Favourite delicacies include Roti John, Kuih, Murtabak and the ever famous ayam percik will now be available via the platform. Customers can enjoy these Ramadan delicacies by searching on its dedicated swimlane, E-ftar to find vendors available near them.
There are more than 200 different vendors currently available on foodpanda’s E-ftar with more to come within the week.
In line with the current situation, to ease the start of Ramadan foodpanda customers within the Klang Valley can also enjoy free delivery on all orders until the 30th of April.
