PLATINUM VICTORY IS POISED TO THRIVE IN POST COVID-19 ERA

As the country prepares to embark on its exit strategy for post Covid-19 era, analysts forecast that the property and real estate sector, which includes the housing market, are set to recover albeit along a protracted path to emerge stronger and more in line with changed consumer priorities.

For property developers such as Platinum Victory, established in the late 1990s during the tough Asian financial crisis, weathering the storm through the current global pandemic and post-Covid-19 era is a challenge they are familiar with. Now, they are all set to transform and re-emerge as they embark on their own recovery path.

Gan Yee Hin, Executive Director of Platinum Victory said, “Despite the Asian financial crisis, we have prevailed to become what we are today. Although the current situation is affecting the local and global economy, property is a necessity and the demand remains.”

“Undoubtedly, as we have witnessed over the years, the property landscape is challenging and competitive. There is a need for industry players like us to step up to be more creative and innovative in our approach,” he acknowledged.

Platinum Victory remains steadfast, holding on to its key aim to cater for the housing needs of Malaysia’s mass market within the Greater Klang Valley – the mainstay of their development projects where they have successfully carved a name for themselves.

Gan believes that Malaysians should be able to continue to own a house at a relatively competitive price range of RM750,000.

The company has strategically defined their developments into two main segments of target markets to reflect its continuous and successful efforts to cater for growing and distinct needs, as well as diverse budgets of house buyers through its well-branded propositions, the Platinum Victory niche housing developments and Vista Essential Homes.

Platinum Victory’s niche housing developments such as Platinum Arena (Old Klang Road), Vista Sentul (Sentul) and PV9 Residences (Taman Melati) located in mature townships cater to discerning house buyers. This is particularly for those who are looking for high-rise, city living in service apartments or condominiums within close proximity of public amenities and catering.

Vista Sentul is a gem in Sentul as this freehold apartment suite is also well priced from RM329,800 onwards.

These competitively-priced developments are well-positioned nearby schools and institutions of higher learning and provide seamless yet great inter-connectivity within Klang Valley via a network of highways, supported by a strong public transport infrastructure.

The company’s Vista Essential Homes feature affordable development projects – all located within the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.

“What most people do not realise is that home ownership for affordable homes are not confined to the suburbs or newly-developed townships. On the contrary, one can find competitively-priced residential properties within the country’s bustling capital city and mature townships,” Gan added.

One of the many offerings within this segment of housing projects include the up-and-coming development, Vista Danau Kota which is easily accessible via public transportation and major expressways such as Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Duta Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) and Jalan Genting Klang. The project is also within close proximity to educational institutions and much-needed amenities including Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) University College, AEON BiG, The Palette by Platinum Victory, and Columbia Asia Hospital.

Another project is Vista Wirajaya, a sold-out project which is due for completion by Q1 2021. Its prime location next to Taman Melati LRT station and renowned educational institutions enables potential house buyers become city dwellers and proud houseowners of high-rise apartments within the developed and thriving township of Setapak.

Both Vista Danau Kota and Vista Wirajaya are one of the many Vista Essential Homes' projects that are hand-in-glove initiatives with the Federal Territory Ministry to provide affordable housing to first-time house buyers in the city under its Affordable Housing Scheme (Residensi Wilayah, also known as RUMAWIP) programme, pegged at RM300,000 per unit.

Furthermore, the government recently announced the reintroduction of the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) in the second half of this year to boost the country’s economic recovery plan. Gan opines that, this may also be a step in the right direction.

“All stakeholders – from the public sector, the rakyat and the property sector, recognise now more than ever, the importance for every family to secure permanent housing – a safe haven for the family,” Gan said.

“Platinum Victory continues to be a strong supporter of HOC as we have seen how many Malaysians have benefitted from this,” he said.

Additionally, he said the six-month moratorium set by the government on housing loans has provided some relief for homeowners to sail through the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“As a community developer with projects in mature townships and neighbourhoods, we continue to uphold our commitment to work closely with the relevant parties. Our most evident step towards achieving this is our support of the government’s initiative – to provide affordable homes within the pegged price,” Gan said.

“While all these projects are unique and cater to a broad spectrum of needs, a common thread that rings true for all these developments is that they all provide for a wholesome and convenient urban living experience within Greater Klang Valley. And that is what we do best!” Gan added.

Gan said that together with fellow industry players, Platinum Victory is preparing to take meaningful steps in the post Covid-19 area to remain relevant to the market. Truly, Platinum Victory is poised to leverage on their two decades of experience to emerge stronger than ever before.

“As with every crisis, there is an opportunity. It really boils down to how we take the opportunity at the right time, as newfound opportunities will arise to replace old ones,” said Gan.

“At Platinum Victory, we believe tough times don’t last. Tough people do!” he quipped.

Those seeking to find out more about Vista Sentul, Platinum Arena and PV9 Residences can do so from their comfort of their homes by taking virtual tours of the respective show units.

Beyond property developments, Platinum Victory has diversified into commercial property management with the recent opening of their commercial hub, The Palette by Platinum Victory in Setapak. Apart from that, there will also be an upcoming commercial development in Jalan Genting Klang, Setapak in the pipeline. Its value proposition will be centred around creating socio-economic opportunities to supplement the community. Platinum Victory continues to add value to the neighbourhoods and commercial areas in which it develops and operates in.
