Ara Damansara Medical Centre (ADMC) will be holding a blood donation drive to appeal to the public to donate blood in support of the National Blood Bank which needs to replenish its blood supply. The Covid-19 outbreak followed by the various phases of the movement control order had caused a significant drop in the number of blood donors in recent months.
Donors can head over to the hospital lobby on 14 July 2020 between 9.00am and 3.00pm. ADMC urges the community to participate to help those in need of blood during these unprecedented times. Each unit of blood donated can save three lives.
To be eligible for blood donation, donors must have had at least eight hours sleep the night before, weigh more than 45kg, be in good health and not be on medication.
ADMC will take all necessary measures to uphold the highest safety standards during this blood donation drive at its premises. Donors are required to wear masks and go through general Covid-19 screening at the hospital entrance.
