Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “We have witnessed the incredible success of Student Club since it first launched last year, as many young travellers have been welcomed to explore new exclusive benefits and offerings. Qatar Airways is proud to play a part in supporting students worldwide, by offering a range of benefits specially curated to their needs. We look forward to expanding Student Club and providing students with more valuable opportunities, as we continuously aim to redefine their travel experience both on the ground and in the air.”

Student Club members also have the opportunity to earn 5,000 Qmiles if they refer another student, in addition to receiving a tier upgrade as a graduation gift. In addition, members of Student Club will also enjoy extra baggage allowance, the flexibility to change the dates of their flight and complimentary Super Wi-Fi on board. Upon joining Student Club members will receive a digital card, which can be stored in their mobile wallet or Qatar Airways mobile app, indicating their membership. All students in full and part-time education, aged between 18 and 30 years, are eligible to join the programme.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club is the Official Frequent Flyer Programme of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and recently won a Frequent Traveller award for ‘Best Rewards Program’ in the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania regions for 2020.

Privilege Club members can earn Qmiles when flying with Qatar Airways and with oneworld® airlines, and other airline partners, as well as a number of financial and lifestyle partners. Qmiles can be redeemed towards a range of rewards including award flights, cabin upgrades, extra baggage, over 350,000 hotels worldwide, or rent a car at over 20,000 locations with Hotel & Car Rewards, and more.

Last year, Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club was one of the first airline loyalty programmes to announce a tier extension offer of up to 12 months to its members and, earlier this year, Privilege Club honoured a further protection of tier status until 31 December 2021. Over the past year, Privilege Club continued to invest in redefining the programme, including cutting the number of Qmiles required to book award flights by up to 49 per cent as well as removing booking fees for award flights. It also revised its Qmiles policy so that when a member earns or spends them, their balance is valid for further 36 months.

The national carrier of the State of Qatar continues to rebuild its network, which currently stands at over 140 destinations. With more frequencies being added to key hubs, Qatar Airways offers unrivalled connectivity to passengers, making it easy for them to change their travel dates or destination as required.

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Airline’ in the latest World Airline Awards, managed by the international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. The airline’s hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA), was recently recognised as the ‘Best Airport in the World 2021’, ranking at number one in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2021.

In addition to this, Qatar Airways has become the first global airline in the world to achieve the prestigious 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating by Skytrax. This follows the success of Hamad International Airport (HIA) as the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to be awarded a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating. These awards provide assurance to passengers across the world that the airline’s health and safety standards are subject to the highest possible standards of professional, independent scrutiny and assessment.
