OPPO Malaysia has officially announced that the product ambassador for its one-of-a-kind smartphone series, the OPPO Reno7 series 5G, is none other than national shuttler Lee Zii Jia! Through this partnership, Lee Zii Jia continues his endorsement of OPPO’s Reno Series as the Portrait Expert on a global scale. Lee Zii Jia is arguably the brightest icon to most Malaysians today. The way that he has reinvented himself as an athlete that paves his own path, regardless of the public’s perception of him, proves that he is an individual who is not afraid to make decisions that he truly believes in.
This partnership between OPPO and Lee Zii Jia is an exciting one which will see more collaborative efforts. For one, Lee Zii Jia will soon be making an appearance in a short TVC with OPPO, which will be announced soon!
This is in line with OPPO’s vision. As a brand with the goal to create a better world through technological artistry that fulfils consumer demands, OPPO will be repositioning the direction of its well-loved Reno series.
Previously known as the Selfie Expert, OPPO has led the selfie trend when it exploded among smartphone users in 2016. However, trends eventually diminish and disappear, and new trends and needs will arise to take place. As such, OPPO conducted a survey which revealed that consumers no longer prioritize selfies/wefies.
In the survey, OPPO identified that 76% of smartphone users take portrait photos using the rear camera more frequently, as compared to selfies (only 24% still take selfies/groupies using the front camera more often). When it comes to the importance of the smartphone camera, 76% of smartphone users surveyed answered that they pay more attention to its rear camera capabilities.
