Sunway TES ACCA Students Make Their Mark Globally in March 2022 Examinations

 In the recent release of ACCA and ACCA FIA March 2022 examination results, Sunway TES Centre for Accountancy Excellence (CAE) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) students once again soared in global rankings. Out of 88,654 students worldwide, a total of five world prizes and twelve Malaysian prizes were awarded to Sunway TES students. 

Mr Teo Ee Sing, Chief Executive of Sunway College KL, said, “Sunway TES offers multi-intervention stimulating strategic approaches to prepare students for the ACCA examinations. Sunway TES embeds student development activities through collaborations with industrialists and practitioners, such as Big 5 firms with the aim to expose students to business issues enabling them to solve scenario-based questions during the ACCA final examinations. This has been Sunway TES’ success factor.”

Lee Chun Fei and Kwan Kah Jun, both triumphed as the World Prize Winners and Malaysian Prize Winners for ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) for the subjects Maintaining Financial Records and Managing Cost and Finance respectively. On the other hand, Chai Keng Huat, Ng Jia Hui and Isobel Robin Lai Katie were announced as the World Prize Winners and Malaysian Prize Winners for ACCA by ranking number one in the world in Audit and Assurance, Advanced Audit and Assurance and Strategic Business Reporting respectively.

Other achievers who ranked number one in Malaysia for ACCA FIA also include Tan Mei Chui, Marsya Maisarah Binti Syahrom and Charmaine Tan Zi Yin while Malaysian Prize Winners for ACCA include Ain Nurkhairina Binti Khairuddin, Said Bin Ramdan, Lim Su May and Alvin Looi Song Wei.

ACCA FIA qualification is the stepping stone to the ACCA Qualification and membership in the global body for professional accountants. Two Sunway TES’ ACCA graduates, Heng Zi Xin and Nicole Ong Shu Li, surpassed ACCA Affiliates all around the country by achieving Malaysia’s 2nd and 3rd Top Affiliates ranks. This outstanding achievement was awarded for obtaining high scores in four ACCA Strategic Professional level subjects.
