Nestlé Malaysia Joins Hands with MPK To Kick Off Recycling Programme in Bandar Klang

As the world’s largest food and beverage manufacturer and in line with Nestlé's global ambition to ensure none of its packaging ends up in landfills or as litter, Nestlé Malaysia has expanded its Door-to-Door Collection and Recycling Programme to Bandar Klang.

In collaboration with Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK), this marks Nestlé's first phase for the programme in Klang, covering a total of 12,143 households across Bandar Bukit Tinggi 1, Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2, Bandar Botanic, Ambang Botanic 1 and Ambang Botanic 2.

The programme, which is among Nestlé Malaysia’s voluntary Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) initiatives, now reaches a total of 85,000 households in the Klang Valley, including in Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and the Greater Kuala Lumpur area, with over 2,500 tonnes of recyclables collected since its inception in 2020. By end 2022, Nestlé Malaysia targets to reach 100,000 households in total.
