OPPO Launches Reno8 T Series with Premium Dual Micro-Curved Design and 108MP Portrait Camera, Alongside Enco Air3

 OPPO today announced the latest addition to its popular Reno series, the OPPO Reno8 T series. The lineup introduces two new additions – the Reno8 T 5G and Reno8 T 4G that offers an all-new premium look. 

108MP Portrait Camera and Ultra-Clear Imaging System for major portrait upgrades 

Reno8 T 5G implements OPPO’s first 108MP Portrait Camera, also features a 40x Microlens and a 2MP Depth Camera together with a 32MP Selfie Camera for an upgraded photography experience throughout. By utilizing NonaPixel Plus binning technology and OPPO’s AI Portrait Super Resolution algorithm, the 108MP Portrait Camera captures ultra-clear, high-resolution images in any scenario, providing users with more possibilities for cropping and editing. With up to 40-times magnification, the Microlens also offers exceptional detail for users when exploring the microscopic world beyond the naked eye. 

On the 4G variant is a 100MP Portrait Camera, which is featured alongside a 32MP Selfie Camera and a 2MP Microlens with 20x or 40x magnification.

Staying true to its identity of Portrait Expert, the Reno8 T series provides a range of portrait features, including Selfie HDR, Bokeh Flare Portrait, and more, each of which empower users to capture professional-quality photos that express their own style and creativity. 

Dual Micro-Curved Design refreshes appearance and visual experience

The 5G variant of the series offers the best in visual design, physical comfort, and content viewing with its 120Hz 3D curved screen and 3D back cover. 

Featuring a precise 56-degree curve and an arc height of 1.9 mm, the flagship-level 120Hz 3D Curved Screen strikes the perfect balance between providing an immersive visual experience and a comfortable grip while also reducing screen mistouches and minimizing screen damage. The 6.7-inch large AMOLED display’s 93% screen-to-body ratio and 2.32 mm lower bezel also ensure more user immersion when engaging with any content. 

With a 120Hz Ultra High Refresh Rate and a 120Hz touching sampling rate that can be increased to 1,000Hz instantaneous sampling rate in certain game scenarios , the screen is super smooth and responsive. The 1 Billion Colour Display and FHD+ Resolution deliver ultra-realistic colors and extra-clear details. Users will also enjoy added peace of mind during everyday use thanks to the inclusion of a twice-strengthened tempered DT-Star2 protective glass on the front screen that has been put through 23 reliability tests covering 5 different dimensions. 

The phone is available in two color finishes — Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black — which utilizes the iconic OPPO Glow process to add a shimmering crystal effect to the 3D back cover while keeping it fingerprint-free. Notable upgrades in flash charging and battery mean that Reno8 T 5G can be charged to 100% in 44 minutes using 67W SUPERVOOCTM, while a 5-minute charge is enough to enjoy 5.59 hours of phone calls or 3.56 hours of videos. After a full charge, the 4,800mAh large battery can provide up to 389 hours of standby . On top of this, OPPO’s self-developed Battery Health Engine can extend the Reno8 T 5G’s battery lifespan up to 1,600 charging cycles4, which is twice the current industry average of 800 charging cycles4. What’s more, 5-Layer Charging Protection ensures that the super-fast charging is even safer to use. On the performance side, Reno8 T 5G is equipped with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage and supports up to 1TB SD card expansion. Up to 8GB of additional virtual RAM can also be added using OPPO’s RAM Expansion function to ensure a smooth experience when using multiple apps or memory-heavy apps. The Reno8 T 4G features a 5,000mAh battery and 33W SUPERVOOCTM charging technology, Reno8 T can be charged to 100% in 67 minutes or offers 2.01 hours talk with a 5-minute charge. In terms of storage, the handset comes with 8GB RAM plus 256GB ROM as the standard specification, with the option to expand RAM by up to 8GB RAM using OPPO's RAM Expansion technology. Delivering exceptional visual entertainment on Reno8 T is a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. 

The all-round performance of Reno8 T series is further complemented by OPPO’s self-developed Dynamic Computing Engine, which ensures a longer stable user experience under heavy computing loads. This long-term fluency has passed the 48-Month Fluency Protection Test in the OPPO Lab.

Smart experiences and security with new ColorOS 13

Preinstalled with the latest ColorOS 13, Reno8 T series delivers a smart and secure Android experience straight out of the box. Users can now control Spotify through the Smart Always-On Display (for music) without having to unlock the phone. 

When it comes to privacy, 5-Grade Access Control with a set of easy-to-use features gives users clear control over privacy permissions on Reno8 T series. Auto Pixelate5 can recognize and blur usernames and avatars in chat screenshots with just one tap, and the upgraded Private Safe also provides a higher level of security for password-protected data. Thanks to these features, the phone has been certificated by authoritative third parties such as ISO, TRUSTe and ePrivacy.

OPPO Enco Air3 

 

Launched alongside the OPPO Reno8 T Series is the OPPO Enco Air3. With an upgraded jelly case lid design, the Enco Air3 introduces a 110° wide-open magnetic earbud case to give users improved flexibility and easily remove and replace the earbuds with one hand. Equipped with OPPO’s all-new Alive Audio for OPPO earbuds, the Enco Air3 gives a greater sense of audio depth and dimension. Reno8 T 5G will be available for preorder beginning 7 February 2023 in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black at RM 1,799. Meanwhile, the Reno8 T 4G will be available in Sunset Orange and Midnight Black at RM 1,399. The Enco Air3 is priced at RM 249 and comes in White. Both Reno8 T 4G and Enco Air3 will be available to purchase starting from 11th February 2023.
