Revenue Valley Group, the parent company to the famous chain of restaurants, Tony Roma’s, The Manhattan FISH MARKET and NY Steak Shack franchises in Malaysia, celebrated World Food Day by distributing meals to multiple charitable organizations and orphanages across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

Revenue Valley Group demonstrated its heartfelt initiative by distributing over 280 meals to six children’s charity organizations on 15 and 16 October 2023 throughout Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. This meaningful gesture aligns with the company’s dedication to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030, recognizing food as a fundamental human right.

Themed “Hidangan Kasih”, the food distribution campaign benefitted underprivileged children’s homes with meals from the popular outlets – The Manhattan FISH MARKET’s Fish & Chips, Tony Roma’s Chicken Pasta, and NY Steak Shack’s Crispy Chicken.

During their visit to two of the homes, Rumah Titian Kaseh and Rumah Hope, the company personnel also engaged the children in games and activities, fostering an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. As part of its holistic approach to alleviating hunger, Revenue Valley Group also gifted boxes of essential items, including rice, cooking oil, cooking ingredients, salt, sugar, milk, and toiletries.

Rumah Perlindungan Nur Qaseh, Rumah Kebajikan Baitul Ehsan Al-Khairi, Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim & Asnaf An-Naafi and Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera were also the recipients of the “Hidangan Kasih” from the Revenue Valley Group.

"World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year on October 16 to commemorate the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1945. We are honoured to have celebrated World Food Day by sharing meals and essential supplies with underprivileged children. We believe that every child deserves to enjoy a warm meal, not just on World Food Day but every day. Witnessing the smiles on their faces as they savour a meal is a heartwarming experience. We believe that by engaging and sharing with them today, we are sowing the seeds for a brighter future as they grow up well to thrive in their communities. We envision a world where no child goes to bed hungry, and our efforts on World Food Day are a testament to this vision. This initiative reflects our dedication to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate," remarked Daniel Chan Lek Seong, Group Chief Executive Officer of Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd.

Revenue Valley Group's participation in World Food Day underscores its social responsibility and commitment to giving back to the community. By supporting this global cause, the company aims to contribute to the alleviation of hunger and promote the fundamental human right to food.
