After an intense two-hour battle involving ping pong balls and bingos, a husband-and-wife team from Johor emerged as the champion of the MR D.I.Y. 'Bounce & Bingo' Tournament, taking home RM10,000 in cash.
Moey Yen Ying and Ng Boon Pin from Johor defeated 15 other teams from across Malaysia to clinch the coveted title. The duo triumphed over the Sabah team in the first round, the Melaka team in the quarter-final, and the Selangor team in the semi-final before securing the championship against Putrajaya with a bingo formed in 17 seconds.
Expressing their excitement, Moey and Ng said, “We were nervous at the beginning of the tournament, but gained momentum and became calmer after a few rounds. It feels surreal to win. We want to thank those who supported us and a big thank you to MR D.I.Y. for organising 'Bounce & Bingo'. We look forward to shopping more at MR D.I.Y. in the future, but for now, we cannot wait to treat our family to a delicious meal!”

We are proud that this tournament has attracted many Malaysians from various backgrounds, including our youngest contestant, an eight-year-old boy from Kedah, who made it to the grand finals. All of our grand finalists today have shown excellent sportsmanship despite the intensity of the games. As an organiser, we couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of them. Congratulations to all the finalists and thank you, Malaysians, for playing ‘Bounce & Bingo’. We’ll see you next year.”
Goh added that there will be more game tournaments organised in the future as the response has been greatly encouraging. "With these game tournaments, we aim to make our customers' visits to MR. D.I.Y. stores more enjoyable and memorable so we can add value to their lives.”
