Dozo Japanese Restaurant, a brand with roots in London and a branch in Ipoh, has finally brought its culinary delights to Penang! This exciting news piqued my curiosity, especially their Bara Chirashi, which I simply had to try.
While the extensive menu promises a future exploration with family, this initial visit focused solely on the Bara Chirashi. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The dish arrived as a vibrant bowl brimming with fresh, top-quality ingredients. Salmon, tamago (sweet egg omelette), tuna, and a variety of other delights formed a colorful and enticing composition.
Each bite was a symphony of textures and flavors. The perfectly cooked rice provided a satisfying base, while the freshness of the seafood truly shone through. The additional ingredients, like tamago, added pops of sweetness and contrasting textures, creating a truly well-balanced and delicious experience.
The portion size was also impressive. It was a delightful combination of flavor and fullness, leaving me completely satisfied.
