The Malaysian Book of Records has recognized bakers from Lembah Subang and Seri Pantai PPR for their contribution to Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Kuih Raya Dari Hati initiative. Empowered by Cadbury Dairy Milk, these talented and resilient bakers have been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Most Cadbury Chocolate Cookies Baked for a Charity Campaign’ for producing 150,000 cookies in two weeks.
The 15 passionate and skilled bakers involved are cottage business entrepreneurs and beneficiaries of MyKasih Foundation, selected from communities involved in the cashless food aid programme. In collaboration with Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Kuih Raya Dari Hati initiative, local bakers created 2,000 tubs of Cadbury Chocolate and Cheese Tarts that was purchased by Cadbury Dairy Milk Malaysia and distributed to over 30 welfare homes and underserved communities in Klang Valley with the help of the Food Aid Foundation.

Their achievement showcases resilience and dedication, transforming lives for the betterment of themselves and their families. Bringing joy and vital support to the community during the festive season, these bakers exemplify how individuals from underserved backgrounds can uplift themselves while aiding those in need. These stories highlight a positive impact of empowerment and support, inspiring others to pursue their dreams and create meaningful change.
Nur Sharzi Bashar, 41, who led the team of bakers at Lembah Subang PPR, said: “This project means a lot to me personally – my late sister and I had a dream of opening a café together, and this is helping me keep my dream alive.”
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to not only supplement my family’s income, but to be able to pursue my dream of owning a home business at the same time and hopefully inspire others to do the same,” said Sarasvathy, 46, who led the Seri Pantai PPR team for the Kuih Raya Dari Hati initiative.
See Mei Sin, Marketing Head for Malaysia and Singapore at Mondelēz International, said, The determination shown by these women has been nothing short of remarkable, and we hope this initiative encourages to further develop their skills and explore new opportunities in the baking industry. At Cadbury Dairy Milk, we are proud to support passion and creativity. Since 2021, Kuih Raya Dari Hati has evolved from inspiring Malaysians to bake with Cadbury to encouraging Malaysians to support communities in need around them, and we hope to continue growing the spirit of generosity in Malaysia through this initiative.”
This year’s initiative is an extension of #MDLZPrihatin, a long-term collaboration between Mondelēz International (Malaysia) and MyKasih, aimed at supporting and empowering underserved families and communities.
