Multimedia Entertainment, a Malaysian film and entertainment production, hosted a grand celebration and appreciation dinner to celebrate the achievements from 2024 and mark the Chinese New Year festivities. This festive occasion also served as a platform to kickstart 2025 with a series of exciting announcements and mesmerizing performances.
Held at the Nexus Bangsar South, the Multimedia Celebration brought together directors, artists, production crews, media, and esteemed collaborators. Among the distinguished guests were YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin, Minister Of Defence, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar bin Nasarah, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of Malaysia and representatives from organizations such as the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF), VAT 69 Commando and National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) alongside corporate partners like Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), Astro, and Six Fun Media. Partners include Cuckoo, Kinohimitsu, HONOR, F&N, Genting, MyFuji, and Maxis also joined the evening’s festivities.
Celebrating the Success of Takluk: Lahad Datu
The evening honored the remarkable success of Takluk: Lahad Datu, a film inspired by the real-life Lahad Datu incident. Directed in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), GSC, Astro, and Six Fun Media, the movie has achieved a staggering RM26 million in box office collections since its release on 22 August 2024.
As a token of gratitude, Takluk: Lahad Datu presented an appreciation contribution of RM 50,000 to Tetuan Kelab Polis 69 Komando PPH.
The event was graced by the film's leading stars—Syafiq Kyle, Kamal Adli, Fikry Ibrahim, and Eman Manan—alongside the directors, producers, and crew. Together, they celebrated this milestone in a truly memorable evening of recognition and camaraderie.
Takluk 2.0: Op Daulat in Development
The night was made even more exciting with the announcement of Takluk 2.0: Op Daulat, a sequel that promises to delve deeper into the themes of heroism, resilience, and national pride. Currently in development, this sequel aims to engage audiences with exciting stories and thrilling action.
#xilele2025 Chinese New Year Album
The night turned into a celebratory spectacle as the 17th edition of the annual Chinese New Year album, co-created with Astro under direction of producer Ang Chee Ciang, was celebrated. Astro’s management and artists graced the occasion, delivering live performances of the album's songs and crafting an unforgettable evening filled with music, joy, and camaraderie.
Golden Years Parents' Day Live Concert 4.0 in Arena of Stars, Genting
Adding to the night’s highlights was the announcement of Multimedia’s fourth edition of the Golden Years Parents’ Day Live Concert, set to take place this May 2025 at the iconic Arena of Stars in Genting Malaysia.
This special event is a tribute to parents, celebrating their unconditional love through a nostalgic musical journey featuring timeless classics. Since its inception in 2022, the concert has become a cornerstone of Multimedia’s mission to foster family togetherness and showcase extraordinary talent.
