Themed “Heritage Reimagined, Style Redefined,” the showcase captivated a 500-strong audience at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, blending tradition and modernity in a vibrant celebration of Malaysian craftsmanship.
Gracing the occasion were prominent figures including KLFW Founder Mr. Andrew Tan and KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Sr Mohd. Salem Kailany. Guests, many adorned in songket and batik, embodied the show’s spirit of cultural pride.
In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Sofia Iman’s vision was brought to life by eight celebrated Malaysian designers – ABU, Ashley @ Kapas, Atelier Prive Melson, FUZA by Fuzana Mokhtaza, Jimmy Lim, Jimmy Wong, TANGOO, and Uzair Shoid. The collection paid tribute to the master weavers of Terengganu, showcasing the versatility of songket through contemporary silhouettes designed for a global audience.
Francis Tan, Executive Director and CEO of Suria KLCC, praised the milestone partnership:

The opening show set the tone for the week-long KLFW 2025, which will feature over 55 Malaysian designers and brands, affirming the nation’s position as a hub for fashion innovation ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.
