THE BODY SHOP CELEBRATES 50 YEARS BIRDWATCHING

As Mother’s Day approaches, The Body Shop commemorates a significant milestone — 50 years of championing care, community and conscious beauty — with a campaign that expands the meaning of motherhood beyond tradition.

At the heart of this year’s celebration is a broader, more inclusive narrative. It honours not only mothers, but all who nurture, guide and inspire — from grandparents and mentors to siblings, friends and chosen family. The campaign reflects a belief that the essence of “mothering” is not defined by role, but by the qualities passed down through generations: resilience, joy, individuality and a deep connection to nature.

A Legacy of Care, Reimagined

Framed around the idea that rebellion can be inherited, The Body Shop’s message speaks to the quiet yet powerful ways values are shared — through everyday moments, simple rituals and meaningful connections.

This philosophy is embodied in the launch of the brand’s White Tea & Elderflower collection, a special-edition range created for Mother’s Day 2026.

A Fragrance Inspired by Renewal

Drawing inspiration from the first breath of spring, the White Tea & Elderflower scent is designed to evoke freshness, lightness and emotional calm.

The fragrance opens with uplifting top notes of tonic water, crisp cucumber and lemon, layered with the subtle sweetness of apple. At its heart lies a gentle floral blend of elderflower and white tea, complemented by hints of pear. The composition settles into a soft base of cedarwood and musk, creating a balanced scent that is both refreshing and comforting.

The result is a fragrance that captures the essence of renewal — one that feels at once delicate, modern and quietly uplifting.

A Collection Designed for Everyday Rituals

The limited-edition range extends beyond fragrance, offering a curated selection of body care essentials designed to transform daily routines into moments of self-care:

Bath & Shower Gel (250ml, RM47)

A lightly foaming cleanser that refreshes the skin while maintaining a gentle touch.

Body Yogurt (200ml, RM89)

A fast-absorbing moisturiser delivering up to 48 hours of hydration with a lightweight finish.

Hand Cream (30ml, RM39)

A portable essential that provides long-lasting nourishment for dry hands.

Fragrance Mist (100ml, RM79)

A delicate, refreshing mist that envelops the skin in the collection’s signature scent.

Each product is formulated with ethically sourced Community Fair Trade ingredients, including shea butter and almond milk, reinforcing the brand’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing.

Celebrating Strength Through Simplicity

According to Alia Hawa, Chief Commercial & Brand Officer, the collection is intended as a tribute to the enduring strength and care associated with motherhood in all its forms.

“Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the incredible strength and unconditional love that defines motherhood. Our White Tea & Elderflower collection is about creating moments of sensory delight — offering softness, nourishment and a sense of calm.”

A Meaningful Gesture

More than a seasonal release, the White Tea & Elderflower collection reflects a broader message — that self-care can be both simple and meaningful, and that small, thoughtful rituals can carry emotional significance.

As The Body Shop marks five decades of advocacy and purpose-driven beauty, this Mother’s Day offering serves as both a celebration and a continuation of its legacy: one rooted in care for people, community and the natural world.
