BMAI Launches the GCARBON TURBO 4 Flagship Carbon-Plated Marathon Racing Shoe

 Professional running brand BMAI today officially launched the BMAI GCARBON TURBO 4, its new flagship carbon-plated marathon racing shoe designed to help runners achieve their next personal best.

Built around the proposition “Speed That Flows, Bounce That Lasts,” the GCARBON TURBO 4 features a full-length T1000 carbon plate, upgraded BoomMAX Evonik nylon supercritical foam, a one-piece stretch tongue and a cast PU outsole. Together, these technologies deliver a balance of propulsion, stability, fit and grip for long-distance racing.

Designed primarily for advanced runners targeting a sub-3:30 marathon, the GCARBON TURBO 4 is also suitable for competitive runners and race-pace training.

Built for Speed and Stability

At the heart of the GCARBON TURBO 4 is its full-length T1000 carbon plate, upgraded from the T700 carbon plate used in the previous generation. The higher-strength carbon plate is designed to deliver more direct propulsion with every stride, helping runners maintain momentum and efficiency when increasing their pace.​

Complementing the carbon plate is the upgraded BoomMAX Evonik nylon supercritical foam midsole. The wider platform, with the forefoot widened by 4mm and midfoot by 6mm, provides a more stable foundation underfoot while the responsive foam supports efficient energy transfer from landing through to toe-off. Together, the carbon plate and midsole are designed to balance propulsion and stability, helping runners maintain a smoother and more consistent stride as fatigue builds over long distances.​

The GCARBON TURBO 4 further combines a one-piece stretch tongue, breathable woven mesh upper and cast PU outsole to provide a secure fit, lightweight comfort and reliable grip on both dry and wet roads. At approximately 135g in size 37 and 172g in size 41, with a 4.5mm drop, these features come together to deliver a lightweight, responsive and stable racing shoe built for long-distance performance.

Real Runners, Real Performance

BMAI Malaysia has signed 12 athletes across running and endurance disciplines, strengthening its commitment to supporting local sporting talent and competitive athletes. The BMAI athlete team includes Mohd Harmini Bin Ahmad, champion of the Malaysia Marathon 10KM Veteran category; CheNora Ismail, third in the 10KM Women Veteran category at the KB Half Marathon 2026; Arun Nadarajah, champion of the WSE Athletics Penang Open 2026 3000M Men Open; and Qamarul Haziq Helmy Bin Kamaruazli, second in the Aquathlon Sprint Male category at the Melaka International Sports Festival 2026.

Alongside its athlete team, BMAI Malaysia is introducing the “Road to KLSCM” PB Program, bringing together 30 elite athletes, running content creators and everyday runners to train in the GCARBON TURBO 4, set personal goals and put their preparation to the test at KLSCM.

Through its athlete program and runner-led initiatives, BMAI aims to support runners at different performance levels while contributing to the continued growth of Malaysia’s running community.

Growing with Malaysia’s Running Community

BMAI currently operates three BMAI Runner House locations in Kepong, Setapak and Seberang Jaya, with plans to further expand into Johor Bahru and East Coast Malaysia. Through its growing retail network and community initiatives, BMAI aims to reach more runners across Malaysia and build stronger connections with local running communities. 

The brand also plans to connect with approximately 200 running clubs across Malaysia, creating a stronger presence within local running communities through training sessions, community runs, product experiences and grassroots activities. Through these initiatives, BMAI aims to encourage more people to discover and enjoy running, inspire greater participation in the sport and contribute to the continued growth of Malaysia’s running culture. 

For elite athletes, BMAI will provide further support through its Elite Athlete Program, including professional running gear, training resources and opportunities to attend specialized training camps in China. Selected athletes may take part in two- to three-week training camps, providing structured preparation and opportunities to further develop their performance.

“We want BMAI to become a genuine part of Malaysia’s running culture,” Wang said. “Our goal is to support runners at every level and help them achieve their next PB.”

For the first month following launch, it will be available at a special launch price of RM499 through BMAI’s official online stores and selected authorized retailers.
