SportsFix pens deal with Digi to strengthen local presence in Malaysia

SportsFix, ASEAN's leading mobile-centric over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform, has inked a deal with Malaysia’s largest telecommunications company by subscribers, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi), to further extend the reach among locals and foreigners in Malaysia.
SportsFix secured the partnership with Digi in November and will provide sports fans in Malaysia with LIVE broadcast of local and international football, cricket, and basketball leagues including Liga 1 Indonesia, Bangladesh Cricket and Philippines Basketball, all being streamed on www.sportsfix.tv.

“The partnership between SportsFix and Digi is a vital step for us in reaching out to the hearts of the sports fans in Malaysia by providing them with highly engaging and popular LIVE and recorded sports content, and the millions of foreigners here in Malaysia can also feel right at home by watching their favourite sport from their home country,” said SportsFix CEO Carl Kirchhoff.
As part of the deal, SportsFix users who are Digi customers will now be able to pay for their SportsFix transactions conveniently through their Digi Postpaid bill or Prepaid credit for a secure experience that does not need payment cards.
SportsFix already has a growing list of content offerings including the K League Classic, Toyota Thai Premier League, one of Europe’s top football league, the Italian Serie A TIM and mixed martial arts (MMA).
This is SportsFix’s second sign up with a major telco in Malaysia after having secured a partnership with Celcom in August.
