GIANT CONTINUES LEADING IN VALUE & FRESHNESS DAILY 50% DISCOUNT CAMPAIGN IN AUGUST TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL DAY!

Our customers come first! This is the position that Giant reinforced when GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Pierre-Olivier Deplanck, said, “Being the largest network of supermarkets and hypermarkets nationwide, we provide customers with fresh produce of the highest quality at affordable prices. We continue to be the value leader of choice for families’ grocery and everyday needs nationwide, and we take this responsibility very seriously.”

According to Deplanck, who reiterated the Group’s commitment to enhancing value for customers at a meeting with Malaysia’s Council of Eminent Persons recently, Giant has consistently focused on providing competitive prices to customers in Malaysia. The latest expression of this will be the upcoming Tawaran Hari Kebangsaan - Ekstra Jimat, Ekstra Ceria, where throughout August, a product* a day will be discounted by 50%. These products will be selected from a variety of categories including Health & Beauty, Groceries, Perishables and General Merchandise.

”This campaign has been launched to celebrate Malaysia’s National Day, and is just one of our many initiatives to offer more value for money for our customers. Since Giant’s establishment in Malaysia in 1974, We have been committed to helping customers manage their household expenditure by easing the cost of living and enhancing living standards. This has always been, and will continue to be, our primary focus,” added Deplanck.

To find out the promotion of the day during Tawaran Hari Kebangsaan - Ekstra Jimat, Ekstra Ceria, customers can follow Giant Malaysia’s Facebook page and join the “Hari-Hari Value Group”; a community group specially designed to serve you promotions. Customers can also refer to our Giant website (www.giant.com.my) for information on all the latest promotions and exciting contests.

Consistent Focus on Value, Quality and Freshness

“We have promotions on a large proportion of our product range every day. More importantly, we also ensure that the normal non-discounted price of the majority of products in our Giant stores remains competitive.” explained Deplanck.

This is especially important now, he added, as consumers in Malaysia look at ways to make their Ringgit go further. As groceries and everyday essentials form the largest part of most families’ monthly expenditure, any extra value gained can have a tremendous impact in the long run.
