Satisfy All Your Cravings From Local Favourites to Chicken McNuggets

As a late joiner to the industry, the early days were rocky, especially when compared to others in the market. But our team was passionate and driven, and our customers, merchants and you, took us to task and challenged us to do better.

So, thanks to the feedback and support from customers and merchants who were willing to give us a chance, we want to share some great updates with you!

1. Doubled our merchant numbers
In less than 6 months, we have increased the number of merchants we have on our app by two-fold, not only surpassing our target but this also sets us at par with other food delivery services in the market. But how did we get here?

By giving Malaysians what they wanted! We have a wide variety of local Malaysian favourites on our stable of delicious yums which previously were not on any food delivery platform, but now are at your fingertips via GrabFood. The list currently includes Village Park Nasi Lemak, Rojak & Cendol Mustaffa (SS17) and Soong Kee Beef Ball Noodles, but we aren’t stopping here. We will continue to add on more local favourites. Similarly, we also have other famous household names like Baskin Robbins, Texas Chicken and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

In addition, with our various campaigns like ‘The People’s Pick’ (customers could decide who they wanted to be on GrabFood), “Bubble Tea Week’, ‘PastaDay’ and ‘MurukkuCariku,’ we were able to introduce some of the latest delectable food outlets on our app. [Fun fact: Did you know that Bubble Tea is the second most favourite item on GrabFood!?]

In fact, we just started our McDonald’s McNuggets promotional campaign whereby every McValue Meal order comes with a 4-piece chicken McNuggets for free! (Hands up if you love McNuggets, December is the month for you satiate your nugget craving!

2. We are coming closer to you!
With more F&B outlets on our platform, this also means that we have expanded the number of delivery-partners and we are also serving a wider service area. Previously only available at Kuala Lumpur City Centre and the surrounding areas, we are now also available in Subang, Puchong and Sri Petaling.

In fact, our delivery partners have increased by 5x enabling us to establish a special halal fleet serving only Muslim-friendly merchants, thus giving a peace of mind to our Muslim customers that their needs are considered.
