OYO Malaysia rewards guests with 60% discount on bookings after registering for Covid-19 vaccination

As the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme ramps up in Malaysia with the recent arrival of the vaccines and subsequent rollout, OYO is rewarding Malaysian residents who have registered for vaccination on the MySejahtera app. In support of the Government’s target to vaccinate at least 80% of Malaysia’s adult population by February 2022 , OYO is offering a 60% OFF OYO hotel voucher and a chance to win an IPHONE 11 to those who have registered to receive the vaccine.

Tan Ming Luk, Vice President & Head, OYO Malaysia said, “OYO fully supports efforts such as vaccination that can help Malaysians get back to their pre-pandemic way of life and help the economy recover as soon as possible. However, to achieve this, Malaysia needs to get 80% of our adult population vaccinated. In line with this, we are pleased to reward Malaysian residents who have signed up for vaccination with a 60% OFF OYO hotel voucher, as Phase 1 of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme starts.”

Commenting on the recent announcement by the government that allows tourism activities in CMCO and RMCO areas to restart operations at 50% of the premises’ capacity , Tan said it is an important step in the progress towards recovery of the hospitality and tourism industry apart from negotiations to create green travel bubbles and the implementation of vaccine passports.

“Although we are not yet able to make interstate trips, this reopening of tourism is nevertheless very much welcome. To help Malaysians travel safely and with confidence, OYO is committed to providing access to clean and affordable living spaces in the drive to rejuvenate domestic tourism, through our Vaccine Awareness Initiative.”

“To support efforts to get more Malaysians to register for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, OYO Malaysia will cover up to RM50 of the transportation cost to and from vaccination centres for all OYOpreneurs in Malaysia. All those getting vaccinated will be given 1-day off work and a further 1 week (from the day after their vaccination) to work from home,” concluded Ming Luk.
