Grace First Trip to Batu Caves

It is the first time bringing Grace to Batu Caves. And this time, she is very happy to be part of the trip. Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Malay word batu, meaning 'rock.

The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of the Tamil festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia. Batu Caves in short also referred as 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Murugan as there are six important holy shrines in India and four more in Malaysia. The three others in Malaysia are Kallumalai Temple in Ipoh, Tanneermalai Temple in Penang and Sannasimalai Temple in Malacca.

And now, they are beautifully paint with vibrant colors on the stairs which attract many.  They are simply beautiful and indeed a insta-friendly location for photography and more. If you havent visit them; is time to visit them  now!

Address: Gombak, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor
