Our Review: The One Plus 11 5G

The OnePlus 11 is an impressive device that doesn't disappoint when it comes to performance. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 8GB of RAM make multitasking a breeze, and the 128GB of internal storage is more than enough for most users. If you need more storage and memory, you can upgrade to 16GB RAM and 256GB of storage with an additional RM 300.

The device itself have more to offer and let us go into details with them!

Display

The OnePlus 11 boasts an exceptional display that's hard to miss. With a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel, this device delivers an outstanding visual experience that's enhanced by a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This feature ensures that the display adjusts its refresh rate based on the task at hand, providing optimal battery life while delivering smooth visuals. The Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and pre-applied scratch guard add to the phone's durability and longevity. The display's curved edges are particularly noteworthy, contributing to the device's premium look and feel. Not just that, the new phone one-ups the 10 Pro by coming with an IP64 rating for protection against water.

In addition to its impressive display, the OnePlus 11 also features a camera module that sets it apart from the competition. The phone's three rear cameras are encased in a circular, chromed-out design that emphasizes the device's curves. The fluid aluminum chrome frame and the way the light softly bleeds into the multi-layered glass back of the Stainless Steel unibody design create a truly luxurious look and feel. The device is no longer just a flagship killer, but a flagship device in its own right.

It comes in two distinct colors, each with varying textures. The Titan Black variant has a soft matte finish that resists fingerprints and sweat stains, while the Eternal Green variant feels sleek and has a wonderful hand-feel.

Performance

he OnePlus 11 sets a new standard for smartphone performance with its cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This powerful processor is the fastest Android SoC on the market, ensuring lightning-fast app loading times, effortless multitasking, and a smooth overall user experience. Additionally, the OnePlus 11 boasts UFS 4.0 storage, which is currently the fastest storage technology available. This ensures that apps and media load quickly and efficiently, without any annoying lag or delays.

In our testing, we found that the OnePlus 11 performs exceptionally well in everyday usage. Zipping between apps, texting friends, and playing games is a breeze on this device. We even put it through its paces with some intensive gaming and video streaming, and the overall performance was nothing short of mind-blowing. The high refresh rate display and powerful processor work together seamlessly to deliver an immersive and responsive gaming experience.

Camera

In terms of the camera capabilities, the OnePlus 11 is a notable improvement from its predecessor, the OnePlus 10T 5G. The collaboration with Hasselblad has resulted in a more refined colour accuracy, making photos look natural and true to life.

The main 50MP camera, equipped with the Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS, produces excellent image quality in both well-lit and low-light conditions. The natural bokeh effect on closed-up shots adds a cinematic touch to your photos. Furthermore, the ultra-wide 48MP camera, which has a 115-degree field-of-view and uses the Sony IMX581 sensor, performs well and is better than most ultra-wide sensors in other smartphones in this price range. The wide FOV is perfect for taking creative shots.

However, the 32MP telephoto sensor, equipped with the Sony IMX709 sensor, is the weakest of the three and produces grainy images with noise in low-light conditions. Nonetheless, it still performs well in well-lit conditions. The portrait mode has also improved from the previous model, but it is not the best in the market.

Moving on to the selfie camera, the 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor produces excellent image quality even in slightly below-par lighting situations, with excellent HDR. The FOV is also decent, perfect for all your selfie needs.

The OnePlus 11 allows for video recording of up to 8K24fps with the primary 50MP camera, but storage can quickly fill up, especially since the highest storage option available in Malaysia is only 256GB. Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) is available across all cameras on all resolutions and frame rates. The primary and ultra-wide sensors produce detailed footage with natural colours and excellent dynamic range, while the telephoto lens is the weakest link. The video quality from the selfie camera is also quite decent.

Battery

When it comes to the charging capabilities of the OnePlus 11, it may be considered a downgrade compared to its predecessor's 150W, but it's still no slouch with its 100W SUPERVOOC charging speed. The best part is that you won't have to worry about purchasing a separate charger as it comes included in the box.

However, the OnePlus 11 makes up for its slower charging speed by sporting a larger 5000mAh battery. This means that you'll have a longer battery life compared to previous models. In fact, it can last up to two days with regular use, which is a considerable improvement. Personally, I would choose a bigger battery over faster charging any day, as it means I won't have to charge my phone as often.

With the OnePlus 11's excellent battery life, you can use your phone with peace of mind without having to constantly worry about running out of juice. You can take photos, browse the web, and play games to your heart's content without having to be tethered to a power outlet. So whether you're a power user or someone who just needs a phone to last throughout the day, the OnePlus 11 has got you covered.

The OnePlus 11 is undoubtedly a top contender in the smartphone market, offering a fantastic combination of features and value. At RM3299 for the 8/128GB model and RM3599 for the 16/256GB variant, the device is priced competitively and offers an incredible overall package. Overall, the OnePlus 11 offers a lot of value for its price tag and is a great choice for anyone in the market for a high-end smartphone,
