UNIQLO Donates 21,200 Pieces of Clothing to UNHCR in Support of Refugees

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by stepping up efforts through its RE.UNIQLO program. In conjunction with World Refugees Day, UNIQLO has donated 21,200 pieces of clothing to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency to provide support and assistance to refugees in Malaysia, contributing to their well-being and preserving their dignity.

The RE.UNIQLO program is an initiative aimed at maximizing the use of clothing and reducing waste. As part of this initiative, UNIQLO collects used garments from its customers and ensures they are properly recycled or donated to those in need. The donation of 21,200 pieces of clothing to UNHCR is a result of the active participation and support of UNIQLO customers who embrace sustainable practices and social responsibility.

The donated clothing was distributed to refugees visiting the UNHCR office during a two-day event held at UNHCR. The event aimed to provide clothing assistance to refugees in Malaysia helping to improve their quality of life. Through this initiative, UNIQLO aspires to make a positive impact and foster a sense of community among the refugee community in Malaysia.
