Jom Makan: Tree House Restaurant @ Teluk Intan

Situated in the heart of Teluk Intan, Tree House Restaurant indeed a hidden restaurant which is known among the locals. While its exterior and interior might remind one of a conventional food court, the gastronomical delights served are nothing short of exquisite.

As we walked into the Tree House Restaurant, the spacious layout was evident. The setting was uncomplicated, reflecting a no-frills approach. Tables and chairs were neatly arranged, offering ample seating capacity for both small and large groups.

With a wide of options available, making a choice wasn't easy. However, guided by recommendations and our own curiosity, we embarked on our culinary journey.

Kam Heong Squid

The squid was cooked to perfection, ensuring it was tender and succulent. The "Kam Heong" sauce, a harmonious blend of spicy, savory, and sweet, coated every piece of squid, making each bite an explosion of flavors.

Butter Milk Chicken

The chicken, bathed in a rich and creamy butter milk sauce, was tantalizing. Every mouthful was a creamy delight, with the chicken absorbing the sauce's goodness, making it juicy and flavorful. The only slight drawback was the presence of bones which Grace not really love it.

Steam Stingray with Spicy Sauce

The stingray was soft, flaky, and beautifully cooked. The sauce, a combination of chili, tamarind, and spices, provided a tantalizing tangy kick. The spiciness was balanced with the sour notes, making it a delightful experience for those who love a bit of heat in their food.

Stir Fried Vegetables

The vegetables were crisp, retaining their natural flavors, and the minimalistic seasoning ensured they weren't overpowered.

Tree House Restaurant might not boast of extravagant decor or a flashy setting, but where it truly shines is its food. If you find yourself in Teluk Intan, this place is definitely worth a visit. Not only will you be treated to authentic local dishes, but the affordability ensures you can feast without burning a hole in your pocket.
