Nestlé Koko Krunch and MYDIN Bring Joy and Creativity to Families and Communities in Subang Jaya

 As part of a shared commitment to giving back to the community, Nestlé Koko Krunch and MYDIN recently hosted a special colouring contest at MYDIN USJ, welcoming children from Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah.





The event was part of the “Kita Bawa Sarapan yang Bermakna” campaign, which brings to life Nestlé Koko Krunch’s aim of nurturing children’s growth through both nourishment and positive experiences.


Mr Philip Joe, Business Executive Officer of Nestlé Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW) Malaysia & Singapore said, “At Nestlé, we believe that a positive start to the day goes beyond breakfast - it’s also about reaching out to those around us. We were truly honoured to spend some quality time with the children of Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah and are grateful for the opportunity to share a few moments of joy with them. We hope our small contribution brings some comfort and support to the home.  This initiative, in collaboration with MYDIN, reflects our ongoing commitment to creating shared value and supporting the communities we serve.” 

To further support the children’s daily needs and welfare, Nestlé Koko Krunch presented a contribution of RM10,000 to the home. The event was also attended by YB Puan Michelle Ng Mei Sze, State Assemblywoman (ADUN) Subang Jaya, who spent time engaging with the children throughout the morning’s activities.


Datuk Wira Ameer Ali, Managing Director of MYDIN, shared, “As a proud Malaysian retailer, we are happy to be part of a campaign that brings families and communities together in a meaningful way. This initiative is a reminder that small, thoughtful efforts can make a difference, especially when we work hand in hand to support those around us.”


Following the morning’s activities with Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, the colouring contest was then opened to the public at MYDIN USJ, also featuring interactive engagement zones including games, sand art activities and product sampling booths, creating a vibrant atmosphere for all who attended. 


This event is also part of the Koko Kraf Club Colouring Contest, ongoing at retail outlets across Malaysia, encouraging children to express their creativity through art. As part of the campaign, a portion of proceeds from Nestlé Breakfast Cereal purchases at MYDIN outlets nationwide was pledged in support of Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah.


The Koko Kraf Club reflects Nestlé Koko Krunch’s long-standing commitment to empowering youth in arts and crafts, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. This year, the Koko Kraf Club is also spearheading a collage competition for primary schools nationwide.
