dobiQueen Empowers 30 Underserved Homes This Ramadan & International Women's Day. TalentCorp Champions Women’s Inclusion
In Malaysia, thousands of children grow up in care institutions due to poverty, family breakdown, social stigma, and the challenges of caring for children with disabilities or illnesses.

Studies show that up to 87 per cent of these children have at least one living parent, with an estimated 64,000 currently living in registered and unregistered childcare homes nationwide. While these institutions provide basic needs such as shelter, food, and education, many children still lack the emotional support and sense of belonging that only a family environment can provide.
To extend a helping hand in the spirit of Ramadan and in line with International Women’s Day, Malaysia's leading launderette, dobiQueen announces the start of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that aims to support a total of 30 underserved homes in the Klang Valley, with a focus on orphanages, special needs children, and women from various religions and ethnicities, by providing free laundry services for a duration of three months.
Aligned with the Government’s role in advancing women’s participation in the workforce, Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) has reaffirmed its commitment through inclusive support systems that strengthen both livelihoods and everyday well-being.
Edward Ling, Group CEO of TalentCorp, said empowering women requires recognising the realities they face in balancing caregiving responsibilities and career aspirations.
“Empowerment is not only about access to employment, but also about recognising the realities women face in balancing caregiving responsibilities and career aspirations.
“Building an inclusive ecosystem requires collaboration across government, industry, and community partners, where practical forms of support can help ease daily burdens and enable women to move forward with greater confidence and dignity,” he said.
Edward added that as Malaysia works towards increasing female labour force participation to 60% by 2033, collaboration across government, industry, and community partners remains essential.
“Through Wanita MyWira, TalentCorp works with the industry to strengthen return-to-work pathways and encourage more inclusive and flexible workplace practices, supporting more women to participate meaningfully in Malaysia’s workforce and continued growth,” he added.
Dedicated to supporting underserved communities and empowering women, dobiQueen regularly collaborates with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) that empower community and women’s welfare, including the Dignity for Children Foundation, Kintry, PichaEats, Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ), and The Asli Co. To date, this collaboration has supported single mothers, refugee mothers, and women from the B40 income group, helping them generate income and hone skills.
dobiQueen also actively hires single parents and members of the B40 community by offering meaningful opportunities, job stability, and long-term support.
Most recently, dobiQueen introduced its “Single Parent Welfare Support” programme, which rewards high-performing single-parent employees with monthly incentives of up to RM500. This initiative strengthens the workforce and aligns with dobiQueen’s broader mission to empower women and foster a more supportive society.
