The cashless and ticketless parking experience is part of Sunway’s digitalisation journey to enable hassle-free experiences for its shoppers. No more winding down windows and stretching your arms to take a ticket, Sunway Smart Parking will also reduce the carbon footprint of all shoppers and starting with the malls first, in line with Sunway’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Sunway Smart Parking will be deployed within Sunway City, which comprises Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Hotels and Menara Sunway. It is the first smart parking system to embrace multiple e-wallet payment options to provide greater convenience for all drivers. Currently, the system is online for season parkers and will be rolled out to public in Q1 2020.
With Sunway Smart Parking, drivers do not need to retrieve and pay using a parking ticket when they enter and exit. Instead, they will need to register their car plate number through the Sunway Parking portal. Once registered, they only need to ensure that their car plate is attached to a participating e-wallet to make payment, which will then enable them to move in and out of Sunway properties without any hassle.
When shoppers who are registered with the system enter the properties, their car plates will be scanned by a licence plate recognition system. Once the license plate has been identified, the parking boom gate will automatically lift and they can be on their way.
For shoppers who do not use any e-wallets or do not have internet access, they can opt to pay with the Touch ‘n’ Go card or through the auto payment system for this period to allow time for adoption. Shoppers who register their car plate numbers during the pre-registration period will get the chance to enjoy a one-time free parking when it is open to public.
